We began working with BHP Law in early 2016, specifically to improve their social media presence and to provide training and awareness to internal teams about how they could be integral to this process.

After a few months of success in growing and improving their social media accounts, the client approached us about an opportunity they had identified for their website. The wanted to create a function on the website which allowed businesses to speak easily and quickly to a solicitor at BHP via the website, in real-time. BHP & Me was born!

BHP&Me is a branded live chat function which allows website visitors to speak directly to a solicitor at BHP from their mobile or desktop device. It was initially launched to businesses in the North East via a press and online advertising campaign (including Twitter and LinkedIn CPC ads) and PR. The range of leads generated from the new service encouraged the client to open the function to other teams at the law firm and thus individual customers could also use the services for Wills, Family Law, Conveyancing and other personal legal services.

BHP&Me has provided the client with a consistent lead generation tool whilst also providing customer service through an efficient and simple channel. We also had some fantastic success in other areas:

  • Traffic to website directly from social media increased by 280%, with bounce rate decreasing by nearly 10% concurrently.
  • Between 10% and 20% increase in followers across all channels since we began working with the client.
  • The time website visitors spend on the site has increased and social media referral traffic tripled.

Recently we were awarded a full-service retainer with BHP Law, to support the internal teams with marketing strategy, social media management, media buying, PR and content, and creative projects. We are looking forward to getting stuck in!
